Personal Appearance

Every employee is expected to maintain a high professional standard of appearance, avoiding extremes. Careful attention should be given to appropriate dress, shoes, hair, beards, etc., remembering that, regardless of the type of work involved, neatness and cleanliness are very important in promoting safety, professionalism, and a sense of trust from the patients and others we serve.

If you have specific clothing requests or questions about appropriate dress, please discuss them with your Supervisor or Manager.

Various departments may have different expectations depending on the amount of patient or visitor contact and the type of work performed in the area. Additionally, employees must abide by UPI affiliate guidelines should your work area be located on their premises.
