10. Christmas Day

In addition, Employees receive one (1) float holiday July 1st of each year to use at their discretion with prior approval from their Supervisor or Manager. The float holiday will be added to your PAL balance.

Employees are currently eligible to be paid for UPI holidays if they have worked at least one regular workday prior to the holiday and one regular workday following the holiday.

Generally, when a holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed on the preceding Friday. When the holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is observed.

Holiday time is not counted as hours worked in the computation of overtime. Full time employees receive eight hours of holiday pay at their regular rate of pay. Holiday pay for part-time employees is prorated based on their regularly scheduled work hours.
