Computer Systems
During your employment, you may have access to UPI’s computer systems through personal desktop and laptop computers, while on or off UPI premises. Use of UPI’s computer resources is intended for business use. Therefore, documents or files created thereon are the property of UPI. UPI may monitor employee computer files, software use and web sites that are visited. Therefore, employees should not assume that their files are confidential or that access by the employer or its designated representative will not occur.
All software is to be authorized and purchased through UPI. Software installations, including Internet downloads, are to be authorized and performed by the Information Services Department. User account identifiers, personal access codes and passwords are not to be shared with others.
